My advice is just read some tuning guides, freewaree learn a bit of WinOLS. Tuning by definition is not easy, so anything that makes it easy is putting layers between you and the program you edit. Now for this one freewzre really have to find maps completely manual in WinOLS, at least on EDC16 you have most maps already found automatically you just need to know which one is what and start modifying. I tried to flash some slightly modified images to my ECU first with both, second with a torque limiter map, third time with an EGR map modification and the engine didn't start at all either of the 3 runs.
It allows you to view and adjust the maps and then export the entire file so you can write it back to the ECU of the vehicle. That's not so much a problem in itself to a tuner, as they will then pick up what they need, but when you're relying on it for everything, you won't know when you're missing something, you'll assume 'thats it', and you'll go around in circles forever never knowing there might be a whole batch of maps you're completely missing.

SI56 We declare that we are taxpayers. I think the original file must have correct checksums the car works fine with that, after all, feeware gets immobilized when these checksums get "corrected". I started with WinOLS 2. Not every ecu gives enough information in the file for tuning software to recognise maps, so there will always be ecu's where once the file is open you're on your own to identify pretty much every single map.
